Topsail Realty Vacation Rentals is proud to announce that Jessica-Soles Moore has recently been promoted from Reservation Planner to Assistant Property Manager!

Jessica will be working side by side with Danny Williams our Senior Property/General Manager. She will be taking over a lot of the daily communication with our property owners and making sure their homes are operating at peak performance.

An NC native, Jessica moved from Aberdeen to Topsail and has lived here her entire adult life! A self-proclaimed cat mom, Jessica brought her joy and cheerfulness with her as a guest relations specialist here and we are excited to see her thrive in her new role.

Jessica will coordinate with owners and schedule professional residential photos as needed so our homes will be presented at their best, not only our website but on all of our Vacation Channel Partners such as Homeaway, VRBO, and Vacation Rentals.com. We look forward to having Jessica as part of our Property Management Team!

Recently we sent out our winterization form. We asked that all forms be completed and returned by November 19^th but it is not too late to still get your request in. While Topsail Island winters aren’t too severe, we do get freezing weather.  If you do not plan to use your home during winter months, winterization is recommended and if available for rental year round, a partial (exterior only) winterization is recommended.

We are always trying to improve and learn and one item we are constantly trying to improve is our cleaning and inspections. We look forward to a great 2019 and we will continue to use the Breezeway application to get the cleaning and inspections at their peak performance. With Breezeway we are able to customize the cleaning check list to better fit each home. You will see the cleaning check list being sent out with the Property Services Addendum in January. At that time if you see any items you would like to change to better accommodate your home please let us know.  We see that each home has different needs and we think adding additional items to be checked will help with the overall presentation of the homes from a guest point view.

Behind the scenes for our owners, we are diligently working on processing the 2019 Addendums!  Even if you didn’t complete the addendum in detail, we are creating the 2019 rate information for your home based on your Owner Rates of Record as they were established for 2018.  This will allow folks looking for vacation rentals for 2019 that haven’t yet booked to be able to see “Approximate Rate Quotes” for 2019 dates on our website.

At this time we are still allowing guests to make Advance Requests for 2019 and those guests will have until January 15^th to sign the 2019 Lease Agreement and make their first payment, which will confirm the reservation.  We are working to make all updates requested by owners.  As implementation of these updates is a manual process, please note that we hope to have these completed within the next couple of weeks.

Whether or not you provided information on the Addendum, you can always email us to let us know of any updates you need to make for any changes in your home’s amenities!

Since September of this year, Topsail Island has endured a heck of a lot of inclement weather. In the weeks and months since, the progress to restore the beach and community has been transformational to say the least. This humble island was humbled once again by nature’s brute force however; our perseverance and strength has showed equal resilience. As we prepare for the upcoming 2019 beach season, we wanted to share with you some progress reports from across the island.

This year’s VRMA International Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada accommodated an unprecedented amount of attendees this year. Over 1700 professionals, vacation home owners, sponsors and vendors gathered inside the MGM Grand. The overall stark addition did not go unnoticed with an estimated 29% increase in new attendees.

Welcome back everyone to our weekly series where we bring you updates throughout Topsail Island. This week, we decided to bring you a quick recap of the events that took place at the 30th annual, Autumn with Topsail, last weekend.

A ton of hard work, sweat and grit went into cleaning up the island leading up to the event and we must first, thank everyone who contributed to these efforts. We wouldn’t have been able to have the festival had it not been for y’all working round-the-clock.

Hello all, and welcome to another addition to our blog series covering Topsail Island and the continued efforts to restoring our piece of paradise. This week, we explored Surf City, the heart of the island in more ways than one.

This island has character, charisma, and a community with a “never-quit” attitude which inspires us every day. We have marveled this week over the overwhelming amount of work that has already been accomplished already. With that said, there is still a bit of work to go, but we’re ready.
